Hi! I’m Alexis, but you can call me Lex!
I grew up in a family that believed in adventure. My childhood was filled with road trips, weeks spent camping, riding quads at Pismo Beach, and crawdad fishing in nearby creeks. The outdoors was my playground. That early sense of freedom and exploration never left me.
At 18, I took my first trip to Europe, and something in me shifted. I realized I didn’t want travel to be occasional, I wanted it to be a priority. While earning my degree in Criminal Justice from Sacramento State, I made a bold decision to move to Australia at 19 to work as an au pair. That experience became a core turning point in my life. It pushed me, challenged me, and ultimately inspired me to create Ma I’m Fine, which started as a podcast and has since evolved into a business rooted in travel and storytelling.
After graduating, I spent three years working for a criminal defense attorney while building Ma I’m Fine on the side. I experienced the structure of commuting, office life, and the traditional path, but I knew my passion lived elsewhere. When the firm closed, I took it as the sign I had been waiting for and decided to go all in on building a life centered around creativity, travel, and intention.
Since then, I’ve road-tripped through my home state of California with my rooftop tent, Iceland, Scotland, Slovenia, and Italy, and backpacked across Switzerland, the Netherlands, Hungary, and Croatia. Travel has shaped me in ways nothing else could; it’s where I’ve grown the most, learned who I am, and built a life that feels aligned.
I’m now a Northern California-based travel creator and visual storyteller, with a deep love for capturing meaningful experiences and helping others step into a life that feels bigger than where they started.
Whether you’re here because you’re ready to pursue your travel dreams, you’re a brand looking to collaborate, or you’re seeking a meaningful way to tell a story through a celebration of life video, I’m so grateful you found me.
You deserve a life full of adventure and unforgettable memories, and I’m honored to be a part of that journey.
